Banking On Lunch

We ducked out early today, doing some messages in Summerlin - including visiting our bank. The NZ-US currency exchange rate has been pretty good in recent days, and we decided to transfer some funds. This can be done really easily by writing a cheque, but you have to go through the teller and make sure that they understand what the currency is. It takes a few weeks for the transfer to go through, so lets hope the exchange rate stays the current trend.

After that we picked up some food from the delicatessan in the nearby supermarket and had lunch with Stan and Jeanne, which was great. We ate like little greedy piggies.

After a short siesta, it was off to the cinema at Texas Station to catch a showing of _Insomnia_ which just came out on Friday. It was a pretty good film. Not mind-blowingly good, but intriguing and arresting. It is set in Alaska, and the scenery was pretty cool.

We're out of bagels - must get some more tomorrow morning.
